2. General Information
Tanly is a UV weather app and personal sun journal. The app is intended for general orientation and personal documentation only. Tanly does not provide medical advice in any form.
We process personal data only where necessary to operate the app, provide the website, improve features, analyze errors, process payments, or comply with legal obligations.
3. Use of the App
Depending on the features you use, Tanly may process location data or manually selected places, UV and weather data for your selected location, sun time, sessions, notes and journal entries, sun profile settings such as skin type, SPF and reminder preferences, locally selected photos, device information, app version, operating system, technical diagnostic data, usage events where analytics are enabled, and purchase or subscription information through the relevant store and RevenueCat.
Your personal journal data, including tracking times, sun sessions, notes, SPF settings, sun profile details, reminders, and photos you add yourself, is stored locally on your device. We do not upload, review, analyze, or otherwise process these personal entries or photos on our servers. This local data remains under your control on your device unless a future feature clearly asks for your consent or you choose to share or export it yourself.
4. Location Data
Tanly may use location data to show UV and weather information for your current location. Alternatively, some features may allow you to use manually selected places.
Location data is used only where required for the relevant feature or where you have granted the corresponding permission. You can change location permissions at any time in your device settings.
5. Personal Sun Journal
If you use journal features, you may save personal entries such as sun time, sessions, UV values, SPF information, notes, tracking times, or your own photos. These entries are used for personal documentation inside the app and remain stored locally on your device. We do not process, upload, or access this journal content or your photos. Please do not enter sensitive information that is not required for using the app.
6. Firebase
Tanly uses Firebase, a service provided by Google, to support technical features, analytics events, and error diagnostics. Depending on the implementation, this may include Firebase Analytics for general usage events, Firebase Crashlytics for crash and technical error analysis, and Firebase cloud services for selected app functionality.
Firebase may process technical information such as app version, device type, operating system, event data, crash reports, installation identifiers, and similar diagnostic data. Firebase is used to improve the stability, security, and usability of the app.

7. Firebase Analytics and Events
Tanly may record events inside the app, for example which features are used or whether certain screens are opened. This data helps us understand which features are relevant and where the app can be improved.
Where consent is required, processing takes place only on the basis of your consent. You may be able to disable analytics through app settings or device settings where such an option is provided.
8. Firebase Crashlytics
Tanly may use Firebase Crashlytics to detect crashes and technical errors. Crash reports may include technical information about your device, app version, operating system, time of the error, and technical error data. This data is not used to create medical or personal profiles.
9. RevenueCat
Tanly uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases, subscriptions, entitlements, and payment status. RevenueCat does not process full payment details such as credit card numbers. Payment itself is handled by Apple, Google, or the relevant store provider.

10. App Store and Google Play
If you purchase a subscription or in-app purchase, payment processing is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. The privacy policies and terms of the respective store provider also apply to this processing.
11. Website and Hosting by Vercel
The website tanly.mehrbytes.com is hosted by Vercel. When you visit the website, technically necessary data may be processed, including IP address, date and time of access, requested page, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, and server log data. This data is required to provide the website securely and reliably.

12. Legal Bases
Personal data is processed, depending on the purpose, on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is required to provide app features or fulfill a contract, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR where we have a legitimate interest in secure operation, error analysis, abuse prevention and app improvement, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where you have given consent, and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR where we are legally required to process data.
13. Transfers to Third Countries
Some services may process data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Where required, such transfers are based on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or comparable data protection mechanisms.
14. Storage Period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Locally stored journal content, tracking times, and photos remain on your device for as long as you keep them in the app or until you delete them, where deletion is available. Technical analytics and crash data is stored only for as long as necessary for analysis, troubleshooting, and security.
15. Your Rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right to access your stored personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict processing, receive data portability, object to certain processing, withdraw consent with effect for the future, and lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

16. Data Deletion
You can contact us if you want your personal data deleted. Where data is processed by Apple, Google, Firebase, or RevenueCat, deletion may also require a request to the relevant service or deletion within the app, depending on the type of data.
17. Children and Young People
Tanly is not specifically directed at children. If you are a minor, you should use the app only with the consent of your parent or legal guardian.
18. No Medical Advice
Tanly does not provide medical advice in any form. The app is intended only for general orientation and personal documentation. Data processing in Tanly is not carried out for the purpose of medical diagnosis, treatment, or health assessment.
19. Changes to this Privacy Policy
